Carriage 1238

Carriage 1238 is a 1920’s passenger car. It retains the old timber interiors, (complete with almost 100 years of graffiti), is self contained and quite close to the house. The king sized bed occupies an entire ‘room’ with chandelier and original sliding doors. There is a bunk room, sitting room, lovely kitchenette and dining table. Original toilet compartments are at either end, with one converted to a shower.

Carriage 1238 deck overlooks the paddocks, the perfect place for an afternoon glass of wine. You will be woken by the sound of roosters!

Carriage 1238 is fully self contained with all linen provided, and a 2 night minumum. $380/night plus a $60 cleaning and linen fee per booking.

Carriage 343

Carriage 343 is a unique guards van built in 1890. It was modified in 1930 to include a freight room, guards van and passenger seating. It is on its original wheels and is positioned in the paddock with a magnificent rural view on one side and natural bush and scribbly gums on the other. Carriage 343 is powered only by solar, so imagine luxurious ‘camping’…
It has a queen bed and 2 single bunk beds, accommodating 4 people.

Seats are upholstered with deer hide (shot on site), there’s antiqued mirror-lined bedroom walls and an turn of the century french zinc bath with a view… rustic luxury!
