Celebration Sunday and farm stall

A big thanks to Biota for cooking the most amazing suckling pork spit-roast! The last Sunday of the month is now locked in the calendar – what a fantastic feast we had – featuring of course, our delicious pork.

Entrees of olives, croquettes, salad and crispy school prawns whet our appetite for the main of pork. Sublime. Crispy. Sweet. Lean. Side dishes of truffled polenta with puffed grain, garlic mushrooms and mustard potato salad had us full and happy… and then came the dessert platters. Wow!

Starting next month local producers will also be setting up stalls to enhance the ‘Celebration Sundays’ and the kids decided to do a test run today. They spent the morning in their Redleaf aprons picking rosemary and tying labels around plum jam for their ‘farm shop’.

It was gorgeous… and kept them busy while we enjoyed a leisurely long lunch. The lawn games and mini wagyu burgers helped entertain the kids too. Despite a few drops of rain a fabulous afternoon was had by all, with several happy customers snapping up a box of farm-fresh whole butchered lamb.

We have more lambs coming up, so contact Katrina katrina@designsparke.com if you would like one. They will average 20-24kg dressed weight and can be butchered as you like.
